Bustiers

Don't you just love this Dolce & Gabanna inspired bustier dress? It's so parisian chic. I think I need this in my closet.

Vuelve El Glam

For my non-Spanish speakers, this editorial is titled Glam's Coming Back! It absolutely blows my mind when I think about what an influence the visionary & unparalleled artist Lady Gaga has had on the fashion industry as a whole.  I remember those who doubted her and her insane outfits towards the very beginning of her career...to now, when dozens of runway collections are subtly to obviously representative of her style and ridiculously avant garde attitude. Needless to say Europe is going crazy for the Gaga, just like back in the States.  Here is a new editorial from Harper's Bazaar Spain, hot off the press.  Love it.

Fave Twins

Promoting their immensely popular clothing line, The Row, Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen recently shot a full fashion spread titled 'The Row Rules'...

With the addition of sunglasses to their line back in October, who knows what these girls will come up with next?

Spring!

It's finally here. Never before have I been so excited for a new season to begin! I feel like a little school girl. Perhaps it's the fact that I just experienced my first real winter. Regardless, I could not be happier. Massive amounts of spring trends and wardrobe updating posts to come.  Even some swimwear.  And now, I leave you with the gorg French woman credited for making a bathing suit chic, none other than Miss Brigitte Bardot.

High Fashion Meets The Shore

Marie Claire's editorials just keep getting better and better. Nina Garcia is doing an amazing editing job over there and I really look forward to every new issue.  Don't you just die for this yellow Chanel? Tres chic.

Oldie But Goodie Part I

Miss Fox. Shot from her editorial in Elle June 2009

Balmain Fall 2010 RTW

Better late than never, my absolute favorite collection from Paris Fashion Week.  Christophe Decarnin blasted Prince at his show while classical strong shoulders, elaborately sequined minis and floorlength glitz & glam gowns covered the runway at his show.  This collection goes to show that nobody can do it like Balmain.  Fur, in a ridiculously fierce hue of fuchsia, makes an unforgettable appearance. Expect celebrities to be showcasing every piece faster than you can say "best-dressed list."

Chanel Rumor Control

Could the fabulous Karl Lagerfeld soon merely be an icon of Chanel history?  The underground fashion rumor mill seems to think so. Photographer Tommy Ton recently sent the crowds abuzz with this recent twitter update:  "I received news tonight that is going to SHAKE the fashion world in the next two days. CRAZY!!!! . . . I can't tell. I swore I'd zip the lip but I'll tell you my mouth nearly dropped to the ground when the news was whispered into my ear."

Stay tuned...
UPDATE: Tommy tweeted this afternoon: "Guessing game is over. My source and I are the victim of a good prank played by Mr. Tisci himself. He got us good :("  Guess it really was nothing?

Tommy At Paris Fashion Week

Photographer and fashion blogger Tommy Ton let loose on the busy streets of Paris this past week to capture moments during the hectic festivities and beautiful commotion.

Digging the light pink roses being toted around in the beige Chanel. I really love his work, he has one of the best eyes in fashion photography.  Check out his blog, Jak&Jill, here.  Congrats on your feature in Vogue Tommy!

Pretty in Pink

Taking strawberry blonde to a whole new level, the newest dye job trend is not for your typical wallflower. So tell me fashionistas, would you dare?

Scarlett in Elle Canada

Another favorite actress of mine, gracing the cover of this month's Canadian Elle.

New Kenneth

Kenneth Jay Lane is my go-to for costume jewelry.  His pieces are artistic but they definitely don't border on outlandish (like some costume designers tend to do). High quality statement pieces that can be easily paired with your everyday favorites.  Some of his latest earrings...
Antique Drop Earrings ($154)
Disco Gypsy Earrings ($120)
Shadow Drop Earrings ($198)
