In lieu of my upcoming move to the city of love, I've been trying to learn about everything and anything deemed french chic. Parisian women are known for their feminine, tailored looks that always incorporate the latest trends...Faux fur, layers, scarves, tights, bright lips and hot booties are a must. Here are some looks from Styleandthecity.com:

Like it or not, this twosome revolutionized our era's sense of style. It's true. Whether it be oversize sunglasses, chunky jewelry, cowboy boots, layers, the hobo look or giant fur coats-the Olsen twins set the bar time and time again. Style.com came out with a great article about the America's obsession with these twins. Here are some photos depicting their style over the years:
Oversized sunglasses at NYU in 2004

Elle's public relations director Erin Kaplan is fresh on the scene due to her new role in MTV's reality docu-drama The City. I love her style, it's chic and trendy yet very classic and tailored. Elle magazine published a Fashion Spotlight article on her and shot these pics:

Victoria Beckham and Marc Jacobs were "overheard" talking about developing a fur line, don't tell PETA! Here is the former Spice Girl in Paris, looking tres chic in a mini faux fur jacket along with a sheer black top, black leather leggings and a black Birkin bag.
Personally, I am an animal lover but don't understand the point of being anti fur if you are not anti leather and a vegetarian to go with it. There clearly has to be a standard about how to approach this controversial subject!

As you put up your christmas tree ornaments (or menorah) and break out the cold weather gear, remember that spring is just around the corner and designers are already on top of all the latest trends. Bright and colorful accessories are a must this coming spring, noted in Marie Claire's new spread this month. I love this shoot and I absolutely love this trend! Nothing says spring like bringing out some fierce colors. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these bags...
Nancy Gonzalez ($2900), Dolce & Gabbanna ($1250), Jessica Simpson ($88), Lanvin ($1203)
Sorial ($200), Jessica Simpson ($108), Derek Lam ($990)
Marc by Marc Jacobs ($189)
Calvin Klein ($298)
MICHAEL by Michael Kors ($448)
I personally love the fuchsia Valentino! Paired with yellow and gray, so chic.

Lily Collins stars in the new film 'The Blindside' and she is the new it girl in town. Daughter of Phil Collins, Lily writes for various magazines and is known for her unique and sophisticated sense of style. She is too cute! And a USC student, too! Can't beat that. Make sure to keep an eye out for this rising star.

Vogue Italia poked a little fun at Twitter in their December issue. Steven Meisel shot a "twitpic" shoot where models who were being "followed" uploaded pics of themselves. Be sure to check out Gisele covering up that baby bump!
