Saw this tres chic outfit for everyday. I wish I could pull this off in Gainesville! I'll have to wait for my trip to NYC in a few weeks. Until then, I'll stick to searching for inspiration...

Zara jacket, vintage tee, Forever21 & vintage necklaces, UO jeans, vintage bracelets and bag, Dolce&Gabbana shoes...love it!

For my DVF fans

Great little piece on Diane von Furstenberg from her speech at Teen Vogue's Fashion University event. She is one of my favorite designers and super inspiring. I love that she is all about empowering women!

Five Things I Learned from DVF

Greetings from Dublin!

Currently in Ireland on a school trip, so I do not have any time to blog BUT here is a photo from Vogue Italia that caught my eye while scanning the fashion news feed today that I had to share with you. Gorgeousness:

I'll post some more when I return to the states, ciao!

Bebe's Holiday Campaign

Bebe has been taking a page out of every famous & high-end designers look book it seems like! We hope they don't run into any legal troubles, but for now we are loving their new 2009 holiday campaign.

They even copied one of Alexander Wang's signature dresses from his past season! Below is the original version of the dress, but you'll have to go to their website to check out the look-a-like.

Kardashian Sisters for Bebe

The trio known as the Kardashian sisters are in the process of designing their very own lines for Bebe! Bebe has come out with a lot of great pieces within the past year, mixed with the trio's style and love for fashion-this could be a very good thing. Until spring, we're keeping our fingers crossed!

YSL vs. Bebe

Must find these boots ASAP!!!

The first design is YSL, followed by Bebe's version. These are the hottest thing I have seen in months... YSL is one of my all time favorite shoe designers, thank you thank you thank you Bebe!

Rihanna's New Image

Shots of Rihanna posing for her next album photos in Berlin JUST surfaced. Shot by Ellen Van Unwerth, the shoot took place outdoors and look so fab:

That white coat is GINORMOUS. Her new album drops the same day as Lady Gaga!

All That Glitters

Fall's sequin blazer is a must have for the young and fabulous. Throw one over ANYTHING to be the disco ball a.k.a. center of attention at any event. I love these, especially the mini blazers!

7 For All Mankind Sequin Blazer in Ash ($495)

Or check out Bebe's version ($159):
Tres chic!

Sad, Sad News

Sad newsday for the world of fashion. It seems no magazine, no matter how grand, is safe in these troubled times. Speculation holds true that esteemed Vogue editor Anna Wintour left Paris fashion week a few days early to begin dealing with predicted budget cuts of up to 25%...Let's hope for the best.

The Row to Debut Sunglasses

The infamous Olsen twins. Known for single-...or should I say quadruple, handedly revolutionizing fashion by merely going about their business and attending their freshman year classes at NYU. And by attending classes I mean showing up in hobo/homeless looks nearly identically resembling Derelict's avant garde collection in the film Zoolander.

Anywho, their style is infamous. Most recently, they translated that style for the masses through their clothing lines The Row and Elizabeth & James. And now, sunglasses! As quoted in WWD Ashley says “We’re testing the market first and obviously these are four very different silhouettes, so we’re seeing what people are responding to and we’ll open up a couple more silhouettes for fall." Sounds like a hit!

LADY GAGA

The fiercest fashion vixen on the scene right now, Miss Lady Gaga herself, is debuting her new LP next month.....I CANNOT WAIT!

Here are some of her new promo pics.

I die.

See Through Staple Pieces

Like the new loose and billowy trend for tops? Think you can handle the see through version? Get a load of these puppies:

Kelly Bergin Chiffon T-Shirt ($98)
Available at shopbird.com, these tops are ONLY for the truly daring.

LV Afro's

Really, Marc?
Never failing to astonish the crowds, Marc Jacobs sent massive, flaming afro's down the runway for Louis Vuitton. It's quirky, it's fresh, it's new...but I'm just not diggin' it.

Keep on Piling

Fellow fashionistas, spotted today in the elite NY Magazine-a great blurb about the new bracelet layering trend along with this glitzy photo:

See? I would never steer you wrong ;)

Go Chunky

One of my favorite fall trends that started about two seasons ago is still going strong for this season. Chunky sweaters may sound blah, but in the right color and paired with the right boots they are super chic!

For this season, some of my favorite brands are Haute Hippie, Elizabeth & James, Vince and Ella Moss. But do not worry, for every chunky designer piece there is an equally as cute piece at Forever21. Here are some of my faves:

Haute Hippie Scarf Sweater ($395)

Ella Moss Raleigh Sweater ($209)

Forever 21 Sweater Scarf Sleeveless Cardigan ($27.80)
Forever 21 Cap Sleeve Cable Cardigan ($22.80)

Fall Vixen

A streetstyle pic of a girl from Stockholm, I love her look!

So easy to achieve, just pair any dark piece of denim with:

Fluxus Deep V-Neck ($69)

Alice & Olivia Faux Fur Jacket ($385)
Currently, Express has a jacket on sale that looks just like the Alice & Olivia one! Leopard always goes in and out of style and right now it is most definitely IN.

Romance in the Air at Valentino

Valentino definitely took a new route for the spring 2010 season and critics are loving it! Huge ruffles, soft pastels and a overall romantic sense of femininity were all on display. My favorite part is the use of miniature lace designs as well as the fragile use of small sequins, so beautiful.

Cut it Out!

With the rocker look pushing the boundaries more than ever before, we now have the cut-out trend. Now, I don't particularly obsess over this trend. Why? Well because with pants or leggings, it can look totally tacky if not executed correctly. Though when it comes to dresses and shoes, a little unexpected flash of skin is very a la mode.

Here are some promo pics of the trend from shopbop.com:

If you really love the torn legging/jean look I say do it yourself! It's super easy and worth the trouble of dropping cash on anything that has already been sliced and diced.

Miss Palermo

I have to say, there's a unique way of pulling off sophistication, style and sexiness that only a few ladies really know how to do. Olivia Palermo is one of them. I absolutely love her way of putting pieces together & she is always dressed to the nine's. She's also great at incorporating trends yet keeping her look classic & timeless. Here are some of my favorite looks from her:

Now only if Miss Palermo could be a little nicer to those poor little girls on The City....

Who am I kidding, her attitude makes that show worth watching.

Celebrating 90 Years of Vogue

Famous vintage Vogue covers will be covering the streets of the Champs Elysees in Paris for the month of October. FABULOUS. Wish the exhibit would still be there in January, but I still think its great. Happy 90th Vogue!

Only for the Daring

If you're a confident gal and feeling exceptionally fierce, you might want to rock this trend:

That's right, multiple watches! Crazy but I kind of love it.

McQueen's Theory of Evolution

I am literally DYING for Alexander McQueen's show from Paris today.

He's done it again! The British designer put on the craziest, most intricate, out of this world show and fashionistas are rejoicing around the globe.

Calling it "Plato's Atlantis," the designer mixed fantasy & legend to create his theory of evolution in 30 dresses. You have to see it for yourself it is just too good/crazy/amazing/avant garde for words. Be sure to check out the shoes, so original I cannot handle it.

Link coming soon...

Home on the Range: Chanel Style

As the kaiser himself, Karl Lagerfeld exclaimed to reporters this morning at Chanel's 2010 Spring Ready to Wear show: "I spent part of my childhood on a farm." Of course you did Karl, and although you've come quite a ways we still love you for it. The show featured a real life barn too!

Definitely the chicest farm to ever exist. Ever.

Models sashayed down the "barn"way to the melodies of Lily Allen performing live within the Grand Palais. The NY Times called the theme: modern Marie Antoinette. Thrilling! Check out some of my fave looks:

All hail to kaiser Karl.

Military Style

Nothing looks more clean cut and posh than the new military jackets for fall. I love ones with gold buttons, they scream prim and proper! Balmain started this trend last year and since then it has tricked down into the mainstream brands. Embellishments are a plus!

Add this detailed piece to your look to complete any outfit. Pair it with a dress to look extra chic.

Here is an original design from Balmain, the ulimate high fashion investment:

Alice & Olivia, a more contemporary brand regularly worn by celebs, debuted this look ($550):

Here are some great classic pieces from Forever21:

Boucle Blazer ($37.80)

Military Wool Blend Coat ($44.80)
